dream to cruise the coast of Australia is finally a reality.
After many years working as a professional skipper in the Whitsunday’s Mals dream was to buy a boat and cruise Australia. Mal & I decided to sell up and retire aboard a motor vessel. The search for the right type of boat was on.
After looking at a new 426 Integrity at the Sanctuary Cove Boat show we settled on the new INTEGRITY 446 CMY displacement hull. The layout suited us both to live aboard. Ours being the first hull of this model Zhuhai Janghua Marine & Engineering Co. Ltd China (builders of Integrity ) were more than happy to adjust their plans to includes the changes we wanted to the interior. The boat took 18months to build. Unfortunately for us the factory was relocated just after the order was placed. The wait proved to be worthwhile.
The boat handles extremely well especially in a head sea. Fitted with 210 6BT Cummins engines fuel consumption is remarkable for a boat this size. As to the interior finish the workmanship is comparable if not better than any we have seen. We decided to have all electronics and covers fitted in Australia.
The Australian Importer changed after we took delivery and we have to say the new dealer Brett Flanagan located on the Gold Coast has been very helpful to us.
People have often asked why we decided to have the boat built in China and are we concerned about warranty issues if they arise. With the issues we have had so far the manufacturer in China has been very helpful. We are happy to stand behind their product and service.
We look forward to many enjoyable years onboard out Integrity 446.
